Company - A Musical by Stephen Sondheim
On the night of his 35th Birthday, Robert is surrounded by his married friends who all seem convinced that he should settle down. As Robert visits the five married couples and his three girlfriends, he is forced to confront questions about love, marriage, friendship, loneliness and commitment. Structured as a series of interconnected scenes and musical numbers rather than a traditional linear story, Company remains one of the most influential musicals ever written. Winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, Company is one of Stephen Sondheim's most celebrated works. With its sophistication, humour and emotional truth, Company continues to resonate with audiences today. Featuring iconic songs including Being Alive, Ladies who Lunch, Another Hundred People, Marry Me a Little and Not Getting Married Today. This production is directed by Tim Page, whose career as a performer, director and vocal educator spans more than four decades, this production draws on Tim’s extensive professional musical theatre and opera experience—including performing in four Sondheim musicals: A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Assassins and Into the Woods.
