Welcome to Social Chess at FunHaus Factory – where chessboards meet lo-fi beats, cheeky lunchtime beverages and a delicious spread of burgers & street eats. Think strategy, laughs and laid-back connection in our colourful arts bar.

Whether you’re a total beginner, a bit rusty after years away, newly inspired after watching Queen’s Gambit, or someone who once thought chess was slow and boring – this is your chance to experience the game in a relaxed, social way.

First Hour – Learn & Loosen Up
Free play plus a relaxed intro session for anyone wanting to brush up on the basics or learn the ropes.

Second Hour – Blitz & Bragging Rights
A casual mini blitz tournament (5-minute games) for those feeling competitive — and plenty of spectating fun for sideline strategists.

Third Hour – Chill & Socialise
Wind down with more casual games, conversations and connection.
