Odette

UK-born, Sydney-based singer-songwriter Odette has carved out a lane entirely her own - soulful, piano-led pop threaded with sharp lyricism, spoken-word cadence and fearless vulnerability.

Raised in Sydney's Inner West, Odette began playing piano and writing songs as a child, drawing inspiration from artists as diverse as Joanna Newsom, Laura Mvula, Kate Bush and Bjork. Her breakout debut To a Stranger (2018) delivered the Gold-certified singles 'Collide' and 'Take It to the Heart', reached #13 on the Australian charts and earned two ARIA nominations. Follow-up Herald (2021) pushed her sound further into experimental and electronic territory, cementing her reputation as one of Australia's most distinctive songwriters.

With four ARIA nominations, an Australian Music Prize nomination and multiple Gold and Platinum-certified singles, Odette has built a formidable live reputation. She has performed at Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Yours and Owls, SXSW and The Great Escape, as well as headline tours across Australia, the UK and Europe. She has also supported artists including Sam Smith, City and Colour and The Teskey Brothers.

After two years away from new music, Odette returned in July 2026 with 'AAAH!', her debut release on Beloved Records. Equal parts existential crisis and rallying cry, the track captures her signature ability to turn deeply personal reckonings into something universal - delivered with her unmistakable voice, wit and emotional force.
